Soloists

July 3, 2010 - Dvorak - Violin Concerto

Emil Huckle-Kleve is an up and coming talent currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor Hu Kun, having previously been taught by his father Roger Huckle. In 2005 he won the Bristol Rotary Young Musician of the Year, Bath Young Musicians competition and reached the semi-final of the strings in the BBC Young Musician of the Year. Emil has performed concertos by Shostakovich, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Glazunov, Mozart, Vivaldi, Bottesini as well as the complete Bach solo sonatas and partitas with his father in the Frome festival.

Emil also has strong interests in chamber music having given many chamber concerts around the south west of England with the Stilig Quartet. He is also a member of the Ruskin Quartet formed at RAM.

In his spare time he enjoys (among other things) playing football, socialising, going to concerts and art galleries. In the future he would like to be a soloist and chamber musician.
